PAUL CORNELIUS T. CASTILLO is a Partner in the Firm. Paul has more than fourteen (14) years of active practice experience, a significant part of which was spent in one of the Philippines’ top full-service law firms, Platon Martinez Law Offices. He started the Dumlao and Castillo Law Offices thereafter. His main areas of practice are civil and criminal litigation, labor law, corporate law, and family law. Paul has gone through the full-spectrum of trial, both as a prosecutor and in defense of clients, and regularly appears in courts all over the Philippines. He has appeared for oral arguments before the Supreme Court, and has obtained landmark decisions in matters involving cybercrime and court procedure on commercial cases.

Clients from various industries have also been represented by Paul in all kinds and stages of proceedings before labor tribunals, Collective Bargaining Negotiations, Department of Labor audits, and appealed cases. 

He has substantial experience in corporate due diligence and housekeeping, acquisitions, transacting work before the Securities and Exchange Commission, and serving as corporate secretary of various companies. 

Paul likewise has exposure in the areas of data privacy, immigration, and intellectual property. 

He is a part-time professor at the Far Eastern University Institute of Law, handling classes involving court rules and procedures. Occasionally, he appears as a legal consultant for various programs on television and online. 

Paul obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 2008 from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law, while he finished his Political Science degree from the De La Salle University – Manila. He is a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Makati Chapter.
