BERNARD BENJAMIN T. ANIAG is one of the Firm’s Founding Partners, a litigation expert and Georgetown Law educated. He began his legal career in 2011 as the counsel for the Aurora Pacific Economic Zone (APECO), the first “green” economic zone facing the Pacific Ocean. While in APECO, he advised its board of directors in a wide range of legal issues, dealt with government agencies concerning a wide range of administrative matters and gained extensive exposure in dealing with foreign investors from various industries who seek to establish a substantial presence in the Philippines. He subsequently joined the country’s top litigation firm, the Angara Abello Concepcion Regala & Cruz Law Offices (ACCRALAW), where he gained his expertise in general litigation, arbitration and environmental law. He briefly, thereafter, joined the Puno & Puno Law Offices where he solidified his practiced on corporate and due diligence work that complemented his sound litigation background.
Bernard completed his Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila School of Law in 2010. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, with minor in English, from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, where he graduated in 2005. In May 2015, Bernard completed his Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in International Business and Economic Law, with a Certificate in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution, from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. Bernard graduated from Georgetown Law as a Dean’s List Awardee and he likewise garnered the best paper in International Project Finance and Investment Law.
He is a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Bulacan Chapter and a recipient of the 2015 Gawag Bunying Abogadong Bulakenyo Award.
